Do You Really Want To Know God?

In the modern world that we live in, if we do not get satisfaction from something pretty quickly, we often get bored and abandon it. Yet some things that are really worth dong take a lot of time, like learning to play a sport well, reading a good book, learning to play an instrument, getting enough money to buy a car from working summer jobs, as well as a lot of other things. Yet even in these pursuits, if we do not find a little success along the way every so often, we find something else to do.

The experience of finding God can seem the same way. It is a pursuit that can even seem to be hopeless. Some people look for Him for a little while and then quit in disappointment, throw up their hands, and think he can no longer be found today like He was in Bible times. Yet we see too many examples in our own times of those who have found Him for that to be true. The difference is that those who find Him really want to find Him and refuse to quit until they do-even if it takes their entire lifetimes to do so!
